1. Who we are
HomeQuoteCA ("we," "us," "our") publishes this website. HomeQuoteCA is operated by Escobedo Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance agency, CA Lic. #6008652, 3333 Central Ave Unit A, Riverside, CA 92506. Escobedo Insurance Agency is an insurance agency, not an insurance company, and an independent contractor agency. This site is not affiliated with any government program, including the California FAIR Plan. This policy covers information Escobedo Insurance Agency collects through gethomeinsuranceca.com and the quote form on this site. Insurance companies we ask to quote or issue a policy have their own privacy notices.
2. Information we collect
- Forms and the quiz: name, phone, email, ZIP code, street address if you type one, and quiz answers: whether you own your home, whether you have home insurance now, your current insurer, renewal timing, home details (home type and how you use it, stories, bedrooms, bathrooms, roof type, year built, and approximate square feet), claims in the past 3 years, date of birth, and marital status. We store the consent wording, the time, and whether you checked the optional call and text box.
- Calls and texts: your number, the date and time, which page or ad you came from, and call recordings where the law allows them and we give notice.
- Website and ads: pages viewed, referring site, device and browser type, and a hash of the IP address on a form request. We do not store the raw IP address in the lead record.
- Cookies and pixels: if the matching ID is turned on, this site may load the Meta Pixel, Google Analytics (GA4), and Google Tag Manager. Those tools can set cookies or similar identifiers and may be used to measure ads and for advertising and retargeting. California law may treat that as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. They do not load when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.
- Later quoting: if you ask for a quote, we may collect household, property, vehicle, driver, or life insurance details you choose to give us.
3. How we use it
- To respond to the quote request, and to have Escobedo Insurance Agency follow up about insurance.
- To email you about your request. You can unsubscribe.
- To call or text you only if you checked the optional consent box.
- To measure and improve the site and our ads, including retargeting when a pixel is on.
- To keep records, prevent fraud, and meet insurance and privacy laws.
4. We do not sell your personal information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or sell leads to other agents, lead buyers, or data brokers. The person who contacts you about your request is Escobedo Insurance Agency, the licensed agency that operates this site. We may disclose information to an insurance company only to ask about or place coverage you requested, and to service providers (email, hosting, CRM, and, when enabled, Meta and Google) who may use it only to perform services for us.
If a pixel is enabled, online identifiers may be shared with Meta or Google for advertising measurement and retargeting. You can opt out of that sharing:
Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal (the Sec-GPC header or the browser's Global Privacy Control flag), we treat it as a request to opt out of sale and sharing and we do not load the Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, or Google Tag Manager on that visit. 5. Calls and texts
The call and text box is optional and is not checked for you. If you check it, you agree that only Escobedo Insurance Agency may contact you at that number, including with autodialed or prerecorded calls and texts. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help, or use the privacy request form. We call only between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. in your time zone. We do not share your mobile number or text consent with other marketers.
6. California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose;
- delete your personal information;
- correct inaccurate information;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information;
- limit the use of sensitive personal information; and
- not be discriminated against for using these rights.

Put "California privacy request" in the subject line and say whether you want to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, or limit sensitive information. Information used to quote or service insurance may also be covered by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and the California Insurance Information and Privacy Protection Act (Cal. Ins. Code § 791 and following). When those laws apply, some CCPA rights may not. We follow the law that applies.
7. How long we keep it, and how we protect it
We keep lead and consent records long enough to respond, to meet insurance record rules, and to show what you agreed to. When we no longer need the information, we delete it or strip the identifiers. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No system is completely secure.
8. Children
This site is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child gave us information, use the privacy request form and we will delete it.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here and change the "Last updated" date.
